    Found it!!! Problem resolved....for now :) Was able to get an electrician down to give me a hand troubleshooting my windlass. Started as others suggested, checking voltage/amp draw at all points and everything was checking out fine until the breaker will trip. IT was tripping each time when...

    Actually moving the boat forward, then the windlass to raise. In 25' it will trip the breaker after about half way up.

    Greetings all, wife and I sold our sailboat last year and jsut closed on a 84 43' Californian. In prettty decent shape and so much more room to move around and relax :) Looking forward to the adventures to come and learning about this side of the boating fence!

    HowDee all, Looking at purchasing a 1984 Californian with at 3208's low hours. 870 each. Anyone have/had one? Looking for things to look for/look out for. Seems to be in good shape etc.
