They appear to be the original fixtures still. Round, silver trim with glass lens.. The previous owner did replace some of the bulbs with retrofitted LED but it looks like he spliced the 12v wire to do so. He then glued them to the top of the inside of the fixtures.

Wondering if anyone could tell me the type of lamp to use to replace the existing bulbs from a 1982 MT?

After speaking with the previous owner, I believe this to be the issue. He said he had the same problem before as well and that it was very sensitive in adjustment.

Would you happen to know the model number of the fuel pump you are referencing? This sounds like an upgrade I want either way. I didnt know you could replace the fuel pump with an electric one but that sounds like the way to go.

No, it's not resolved yet as we couldn't go to the boat last weekend. Too many issues with kids starting school and whatnot. I was watching the temp gauge closely. No issues with overheating. Water continuously coming out the exhaust as well.

I'm also on Catawba Island. From Worthington but love going up there on the weekends.

So, my engine stop button isn't working apparently. Does anyone have a diagram for how this is wired? I assume there is some kind of solenoid but not sure which one and where to find it.

Thanks guys! I will check the filter, vent and fuel line. Curious if I have to purge the fuel lines and if changing the filter will make it really hard to get the engine started again? I have heard these can be hard to start after changing the filters. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Rgano, thank you for letting me know that! I wasn't sure if I needed to run her WOT from time to time to make sure it burns clean. I have read that in some places about diesels and wasn't sure how it applies to a boat. Mine is a 34 and dry weighs about 20k lbs.

Oh I also should note the transmission is a velvet. Does that sound right?
