    Checklists

I am glad I read this thread just for this one idea of using a tension rod in the refrigerator to hold things in place. Thank you! I also copied the checklist first posted into a Google doc and am using it to develop one for our boat. Thank you!

Recommendation for buyer's broker in the Southeast

Broker Michael at Great Loop Yacht Sales He was our broker when we purchased but the buyer noted he did all the work. All parties were impressed. https://www.greatloopyachtsales.com/

    Venting bathroom?

2008 Nordic Tug 37. Hubby thinks it is a bilge fan. Can that be replaced, fairly easily with an electronics fan or are the two types of fan entirely different?

    Venting bathroom?

Noisy Fan Replacement We have a fan in our head. When we turn it on, it is so noisy. Husband says that is "normal" but I wonder if there is any "quiet" fan out there that we could replace ours with. I don't have the information on our fan, but it is about 3 inches square. How do you know if it...

    Dismal v AICW

Dismal Swamp is for me! We did the Coinjock route and once is enough for this girl on that route! The Great bridge lock said it opened at 10...but that was for Northbound. We got there at 9:35 so had to find a place to wait until after 10:30.We were rushing to get through the next openings to...

    Nordic Tug 37

Help - NT 37 newbie/dummy Soooo we have done that thing you do when you say what is this? Must be to an old mop or something, toss it. Turns out that blue plastic thingie was a very hard to find Jabsco wash down, quick connect adapter. The new ones have three bumps, and this one is a two...

Jabsco 2 cam locking version adapter

We apparently threw out the Jabsco 2 cam locking version adapter that we need for the raw and fresh water wash ports on our 2008 Nordic Tug 37. Just posting here on the off hand chance that someone has an extra one lying around or knows of someone who sells boat parts no longer made. Thank you!

    Important topic, requiring wide-ranging input...

Scott, I like how your signature tells where you are from and where you are currently. Have you ever tried Skol gin? I'll try to paste in an image. I like both Bombay and Tanqueray but this is cheaper and we like it better for martinis (gin on the rocks with olives at our house.)

    Line Handling Accident

Aye aye! This is all helpful advice. We have dock lines at our slip for our 26' Sea Hunt. I have been using a pole to get the loops and push them through eyes. I am not cognizant of putting my fingers in the loops but I must to get them over the horns. We are hoping to get a "loop boat" in the...

    Line Handling Accident

Thank you for posting the link to the article. I wanted to reply and thank the guy for his post. I learned something valuable from his awful experience and I appreciate him taking the time to post it. Maybe one of you can let him know that. I will start looping the dock line over the cleat as...

    paper charts

As my husband would say, "that's a bad day of flying."

    paper charts

Commercial pilots no longer haul around paper charts. Seems falling out of the sky or crashing into land when going .76-.90 mach would be more reason for paper backup when electronics fail and yet they stopped carrying paper charts at least five years ago.

Would you buy a boat that "rested on the bottom briefly?"

When I click on the link I don't see any of the information you guys are referencing. The 48 photos look fine. I am new to this stuff so could you explain where you got the information about it sitting on the bottom and getting dunked in salt water. Thank you!

Ranger Tug vs. Nordic vs. American Tug

Thank you for "chiming" in because the features that you cite are certainly the ones that really matter to us. It seems the AT 365 is one of the few boats with 1 big cabin and larger head. Most boats we have seen sacrifice features for that 2nd berth...as AT has done with the 362. Comparing the...
