I have a question about your configuration; what size pump and diameter of hose you are using. Thank you.

Thoughts on leasing out my trawler for Loopers

Food for thought. This is not about leasing or renting a vessel. We sold our vessel to a couple who were new to cruising. We offered phone call support for a limited time. Within 4 months they were asking us if we wanted to buy back. We agreed because we love our vessel and sold just because we...

    Electric outboard motors

We have a 12.5 Torqeedo on our 10.5’ Highfield. We have two 48V, 10kWh batteries on board. The Highfield is center console. The batteries weigh in at 80lbs each. We love cruising in the tender as much as we do on our SeaRay 355T. Nice quiet sunset cruises. We are also able to get it on a plane...

    ICW/Watermaker

After reading the replies in this post, no one has taken into account a vessel having electric motors for propulsion; no need for fuel. Then you do have to pay. We do have a water maker and mostly use at inlets. We have a 100gal water tank and are very frugal. Easily make it from inlet to inlet.

    Let's talk deep freezers

Deep freezer We have an Expedition. This link will take you to it. Very energy economical. https://www.snomasterusa.com/product/expedition-series-bdc-95-stainless-steel-acdc-fridgefreezer/ We run it dc 100%. We have 2190W of solar power with 600aH lithium batteries.

    Composting toilets

Composting head We use a composting head and I would not go back to a traditional head with black water tank. We have a C Head, a very small independent business who does custom designs to fit any head. The benefits include being able to use regular gallon jugs or divert the urine to a black...

    SeaPipers - Why?

Interesting design, impractical for live aboard, maybe fine for short trips. Layout does point to fancy working boat! Too much wasted space.

    The Great loop

Thank you. We live aboard our 36’ Sea Ray 1983 355T fully customized. Could not imagine renting our ‘Dolphin’ to anyone! We are completely off grid with solar and water maker aboard. Just arrived in Merritt Island Jan 1, 2021 to tend to our relatives in poor health. We previously lived in the...
