    48 CPMY Simplifying Anchor Arrangement

Yep - thanks folks for the comments. I'd be interested if others with 48CPMYs (there's quite a few on this forum) have the same kink in their hawsepipe.. for us it is quite pronounced. It has to go down, at about 80degrees (i.e. off vertical) and then slide under the forward berth to the foot...

    48 CPMY Simplifying Anchor Arrangement

Our 1989 48CPMY jams the anchor chain often when hauling up the anchor because it has to go through a kink halfway down the hawsepipe. :ermm: This hawsepipe arrangement therefore means we need someone below the forward cabin floor to flake incoming chain... as well as someone on deck washing...

    Holding tank vent locations

    Californian LOA

I have an 1989 48CPMY like yours and am about to get on a waitlist where 1 foot will dictate which slipsize we subscribe to... and will make a difference for how fast the waitlist may move. I was told by the PO that we are 52 LOA, but was curious what yours may be. I think we have the standard...

    Holding tank vent locations

Folks - in my 1989 CPMY (California model) the only small breather outlets of the types described here in this thread, are the water and one for each of the diesel tanks.. i.e. i have three of them, with the two diesel ones in close proximity of the diesel filler caps. Before I hunt down and...

Aft deck composition 1991 Carver Californian MY 4809

Ray - I am not sure but suspect it is core would be most logical.. but my 48 CPMY 1989 had chocks throughbolted when i bought her and they leak, with rusty stains visible from the aft deck. So the takeaway would be to be really careful to ensure waterproof, durable through bolting / screws...
