House battery system too low to charge

Everything is working now. Not sure why alternators weren't charging but they look to be working properly now. No fuses were tripped. Batteries all charged, inverter working, charges working. I am sure I took some life out of the house bank but I think I git lucky with not having to...

House battery system too low to charge

I checked the 24v and 12v system. Both banks registered over 24V and 12V respectively, so the charger worked. Reconnected battery banks to Vanner. All systems started to come alive. panel box showed power, inverter showed power. I then switched on starter battery and stared engines. After...

House battery system too low to charge

Thanks for the replies. So I disconnected the link between the 24V and 12V system at the Vanner box. I have a separate 24V charger plugged in charging just the 24V system and separate 12V charging that house bank. All DC and Inverter is disconnected so batteries should be isolated and have...

House battery system too low to charge

Need thoughts/advice please - Boat is parked at a friend's dock while my dock slip is getting serviced. Went for a cruise on a Saturday, docked the boat, shut down all AC systems and just left minimum systems on like bilge etc. A partner was supposed to check on the boat after 48 hours and run...

    Inflatable Fenders

I have fendertex. Used them for two years now and very happy with them. Easy to move, light as air, and kids and older adults can grab fenders and move them easily, as necessary. They are easy to store and take up no space if you are cruising and have no need for fenders.

How would you mount this transducer on a Zodiac

Exactly this. I ended up using the existing bracket. I didn't want to drill more holes into the hull. I didn't get to move it closer to the center, but I guess it will work well enough. thanks for all suggestions.

How would you mount this transducer on a Zodiac

All good ideas. Where would you find this FRP stock? What type of store? I like that it isn't metal and looks easy to install. pete

How would you mount this transducer on a Zodiac

Thanks for the suggestions. When I mount with starboard, I assume it is easy to work with? Can I use a jig saw and a sander to make the contours match up? So basically I just cut and smooth a block of starboard?

How would you mount this transducer on a Zodiac

The Zodiac is a 2001 YL480. I am replacing an old fish finder with a current Garmin unit. I am struggling to figure out how to best mount the transducer onto the transom There is a lip on the transom and it angles from wide to skinny staring with the centerline out. There is a bracket for the...

So who else out here in the San Juans?..

.. "well there is the written list, and there is the political list, you made one but not the other." Unfortunately - that is the reality at RH on the 4th. The demand for slips during that period far exceeds their availability. Since you have been going there for so long, not getting a slip...

    Seattle Waste Spill

Why have any sewage treatment plants? We should just dump all the waste into the waterways. Let's even save some money by not having any black water storage on our boats. Then we can flush directly into the sea. Sometimes my trash bin gets full before the garbage truck comes. I should...

Washington State Boat Taxes Could Double

Fair criticism but my response is not meant to be portrayed as you have done so and make it about patriotism. My response to GFC was based on the rant that was not contributing to the discussion of the potential doubling of Washington excise tax. My response was meant to be framed with the...

Washington State Boat Taxes Could Double

This rant makes no sense to me. You call this a rat hole, but you choose to live in the rat hole. You choose to boat in the rat hole. Using a term like "gubner" does not help your argument, whatever it may be. Washington excise tax on boating may be expensive, but you are not forced to...
