    Mileage vs Consumption

My sweet spot for cruisin is determined usually by rpm's. However actual speed/distance traveled can be greatly altered by the wind and current. Therefore I have always referred to gph, regardless.

    Bayliner "trawler" vs Mainship

FWIW: I find it difficult to recognize any vessel that travels greater than 10.0 knots through the water as a trawler.

    34 Trawler bilge leak

We had an issue with a PSV on our water heater. When motoring the engine would heat the water in the water heater to a temperature high enough to cause thevpressure safety valve to pop open and discharge eater in to the bilge.

If anyone thinks it is easier to remove the baffles in a fuel tank, make the wall smooth and prep it for bladder type bag, they haven't a clue.

    Fuel tank removal

Once we get tanks out we make a mock up using door skin. The tank(s) that go back in will have a similar shape only different.

    Fuel tank removal

Cut one big tank up and remove it sections. Replace with small more manageable tanks, then manifold your fuel supply and return accordingly. This is very common in getting the fuel volume you need with minimal mechanical removal.

We recycle from 700 to 1,000 gallons of bad fuel each month. By recycle, we have a company come in and pick it up then they process it. If you were in Florida we could help. Maybe call the local fire department.

    Fuel filter question?

I would dedicate a filter to each user - then I could send fuel from one tank to more than one user.

    Fuel Additive

Good points Craig, the public has no idea what chemicals are in their tanks only to go to the local Worst Marine and take home a bottle of snake oil that usually reacts adversely in the end. We cleaned a 4K gallon ULSD tank today that has had one of the national brand being supplied and the tank...

    Key West Mooring Field

I have anchored off of Fleming Key and what an experience. Twice a day, everyday, the charter boats travel through there as fast as they can go. We had TV's flying, dishes breaking and enough bruises to trigger a spouse abuse investigation.
