My last boat had 150 feet of chain and 150 feet of rode. I installed a chain counter and absolutely loved it. I’m in the process of buying another boat and it will definitely get a chain counter.

You make a good point but sadly not until next weekend.

The latch mechanism on the down station door is nonoperational. I found that the piece that grabs the door frame is bent up pretty good. Not sure I can repair it. Anybody know where to get the replacement hardware for the door? Jeff

Twin screw steering is likely a lot less efficient and much less responsive than rudders so I would hold on to the rudders incase you want to try it without them. I think you will have a great harbor cruiser at the very least. Long distance at some (very slow speed) with the genset and solar...
