I have read through this thread...so the answer is there really are no marinas or places to store your boat on the hard in rocky point? I live in Scottsdale and am looking at my first trawler (possibly a 39 foot Bertram or a new sea piper) and would like to store her in rocky point in hurricane...

I am looking at purchasing a 1980 DeFever 41 foot trawler. It has twin Ford Lehman engines with 500 hours since rebuild. Are there any known quality issues with this vintage? The deck is frp with no skid. It does have full teak rails and some covers. Also has a new Gen Set. Of course I will...

I appreciate the dream! I am also looking for a starter boat that I can liveaboard part time. I am focused on the sea of cortez in mexico. I understand the whole sea of cortez is like a sheltered aquarium and is more the size of a Great Lake with fewer hurricanes and still a great adventure...
