i'm refitting a 38 C&L and have spent 6 hours removing these tiles on a bulkhead. probably another 6 to go. 4 nails in each tile and glued.

Eng pump size / thruster motor size and pully sizes have been taken into consideration and adjusted accordingly.

I have to replace anchor winch and want to use a drum style Hydraulic and am also repowering main and will be adding a Hydraulic pump.

I plan on removing the motor on the weekend and checking the lower unit, if it is ok i will try to source another motor with the specs I have. Fabricating a new mount is not a problem. Possibly even adapting a hydraulic motor is another option. I have to replace the anchor winch so pondering...

I recently purchased vessel and if it didn't have one it would be pretty low on my priority list, but because its there I want it to work.

The motor was submerged in salt water and then sat for awhile. I plan on removing it and having a better look but very much doubt it could be rebuilt. I was hoping I could just buy another motor and be done with it. I'm pretty sure it will end up on the replacement list. Thanks for the replies. Jim
