DDW, I go in/out my NT 32/34 aft door without opening the top hatch. Gotta “mind your head” but not lift the hatch.

Another season comes to an end… Truly love it out here during fall. Mountains have more snow. Anchorages are typically all to yourself Most marinas have winter rates after Oct. 1st Win Win Win….. Hauled out on Texada island. Safe until next years return. Getting treated to some “BC liquid...

American Tug 34 vs Downeast Cruiser

I love how these threads progress…. Lads considering inter coastal and Bahamas. Should consider: -Draft… as sections of the ICW and certainly the Keys and Bahamas are extremely shallow! -range… in the Bahamas fuel availability isn’t as abundant as State side. -cruising budjet… how much on fuel...

American Tug 34 vs Downeast Cruiser

Nordic tug 32s (34 now) will top at 16+ Cruise at 10-12 if you want to pay the fuel (always a consideration for us mere mortals) Give a really comfortable, economical cruise at 7-8 with far more range, way less noise and easier to see the scenery. I’ve saw over 8000 nautical miles of the...

Trip from Lagoon Cove, Broughtons, back to Heriot Bay inn. Rafted to the derelict tug just before Whirlpool Rapids. Light at Green Point. Sea Lions at Gillards Sun setting at “hole in the wall” View from the helm in there too. Headed back up to Octopus Islands as a blow is coming in.

Sunny weather so after the Wabasto was installed and the “to do” list ticked off, I made a spur of the moment decision and ventured northward. 3-1/2 hours later I was anchored in Octopus Islands. This is one of my favourite places. Fantastic full moon… huge! A little ice on the roof top never...

    NT32 “Emma B” cruises PNW

I’ve already put 100 hours on Emma B and as I am not familiar with the previous service records, thought a good “once over” was due as well as a few repairs and upgrades. She fires instantly and runs great, but want to know I’ve done the best I can before heading up to the Broughtons again late...

    Anchor for Nordic Tug 32

Anchor debate ? 3 controversial topics: Politics Religion Anchors I always figure the best anchor is the one that after several experiences, you can sleep well when on the hook and it’s howling out there. I’ve had bad experiences with multiple “not to be named” anchors Great experiences with...
