MS 390 - Add fresh water flush to raw water intake

Yep. It's all part of the system. Through hull is to be open when flushing. I removed the heat exchanger after the last flush and the water was fresh.

    Fresh Water Flush

Well done. I like it. It would extend the service interval of the RWC by a long way.

    Fresh Water Flush

Hi Tom, Thanks for your input. I totally agree that it a good idea and as I am the chap that does the servicing, anything that will extend the life of the raw water system has to be a good thing. My thoughts of connecting to the onboard tanks was purely for convenience. I almost always top up...

Congratulations on the purchase. I think I have heard good things about that boat. It's currently moored two jetties from our boat. I assume Rob surveyed it?

    Marine Trader/Tradewinds 34 sedan

Thanks for your comments Bruce. It is not that boat but one almost identical. The cabin is f/g externally and ply inside. It's more the structure I am concerned about only because I have heard some of these boats were built with inferior timber. I can't be peeling bits of ply off to have a look...

    Marine Trader/Tradewinds 34 sedan

Hi New to this forum and looking to buy a Tradewinds 34 in Australia. I'm assuming this is another name for the Marine Trader. I have read that there can be issues with rot in the cabin structure. The vessel is 1984 build. Can anyone advise on this or other issues with this model. Thanks in advance.
