    I have an Eagle 40 and would comment that this is not needed. The vessel manages just fine with the original rudder.

    I just installed a pair of 200amp Victron Batteries and the results are amazing, previously in the fall months we could run max two days without charging, now can stretch to 4 - which is logical based on the technology in play. I would add that you have to be VERY CAREFUL wrt your alternator...

    I use opencpn. It’s free. Runs on multiple OS and will interface with autopilot, AiS. Etc. Allows overlaying of weather forecasts etc. It is available here. Https://opencpn.org

    By far the best I’ve used is WICKED® CUSTOM 500 PASTE WAX. Easy to apply by hand. Has good cleaning capability and leaves a great resilient shine
