I have a 38’ diesel Duck with a 4b3.9. No turbo. 75 hp. It’s been a great motor. It shakes only at lowest idle. Noise hasn’t been an issue. Moves my steel trawler right along.

I live in San Fransisco and am looking at keeping a boat in the Pacific Northwest. The Insurrance company is going to require a caretaker since I don’t live where I would be keeping the boat. Just another thing to think about.

I had my boat listed on the forum for sale and decided to keep it but am now reconsidering. I’ve cruised from Fort Bragg as far south as San Diego and presently have it in San Fransisco. You can probably still find it on the forum if you want to check it out

Storage Try the Napa valley marina in Napa CA. They have a huge dry storage yard. Not sure what the fees are.

Chances are it’s a hose going from deck to tank. Install a 1/4 turn valve in the hose. No key no problem.

If for some reason that plastic thing gets damaged you will get air into the fuel system. I have a tee on the outlet of the filter with a valve and then a vacuum gauge so if there is any problem I can easily isolate the gauge. I also have the gauge in the wheelhouse for easy monitoring
