    Rudder Seals on ST44

My rudder seals are leaking again after four years and I am looking at bottom paint this year so I need to fix this as well. Trying to decide if the reinforced seal kit will actually be a permanent fix or if I should just get the standard seal like I did four years ago and plan on doing this...

    Bug Screens

It is just 3/8" (outside diameter) plastic tubing that you can pick up at any hardware store. Then get a couple feet of 1/4" plastic tube to use to attach the ends of the larger tube together. just cut some 6" pieces of the 1/4" and slip 3" into each end to for a hoop.

    Bug Screens

No, I didn't make anything permanent. I opened the hatch then put the latches in the closed position. Make the hoops so that they fit under the hinge and the latches. Then I cut the screen as a circle a few inches larger diameter than the hoops. i position the screen then place the hoop and...

    Rudder Seals on ST44

I would opt for both for the reasons Michael pointed out. Both were leaking on my 2012 ST44 so I believe its not a "if" but "when" issue.

    Volvo D4-300 I-e Heat Exchanger End Caps. ST-44. 2012

Turns out that Volvo had a Service Advisory on this issue and paid for rebuilding the Heat Exchangers and provided replacement Aftercoolers once it was determined that my engines were commissioned just shy of five years. The tell is white, powder-like substance on the bottom of the end caps.

    Volvo D4-300 I-e Heat Exchanger End Caps. ST-44. 2012

Bay Marine, the local Volvo Servicer told me originally that they thought it would be covered by warranty but then yesterday told me that since the engines were 2011 that the warranty had expired.

    Volvo D4-300 I-e Heat Exchanger End Caps. ST-44. 2012

Hi, Upon the last Engine Service I was told that both Engine Heat Exchangers and Air Charge Coolers have leaking End Caps and require service. Further stated that Volvo has a Service Bulletin out on this issue. The Servicer felt that Volvo would cover the repair as a "recall" but I am now...

    Rudder Seals on ST44

I couldn't get anyone at Beneteau to talk to me about the problem, except for Ward in the Parts Dept who is always very helpful. The boat was due for bottom paint so I just bought the parts myself and had them installed. Still no problems at this point. Not sure about your water pump issue...

    Rudder Seals on ST44

That is exactly what happened on my 2012 ST44. I ordered an O-ring and sleeve kit from Beneteau and had it installed when the boat was out for bottom paint. That was a year ago and so far no leaks.

    Anchors for ST44

Hi All, Has anyone upgraded the wimpy Delta Anchor that is standard equipment on the ST-44? I am the second owner and the first owner installed a full enclosure on the Fly Bridge which creates a ton of surface area so she gets pushed around in the wind a lot. I'm considering a 60# Manson but...

    Beneteau Swift Trawler 44

Hi, my wife and I have slept aboard our ST44 approx 30 nights when in the San Juan Islands. The only times we experienced any noise issues were when we were on a mooring ball in windy conditions. you could easily hear the water slap against the hull. As far as the v-berth. I too was concerned...
