    AIS Decisions (Make, Transceiver, Receiver)

Garmin VHS 300 AIS vs Icom m502 Well, things just keep getting more interesting. While researching AIS solutions, I realized my Icom m502's would need to be reprogrammed by a service tech due to the two previous assignments of MMSI numbers. The tech asked me if I had considered just replacing...

    AIS Decisions (Make, Transceiver, Receiver)

Thanks for all the great replies and suggestions. Much help. One of the recommendations for AIS was for the XB-8000. The wireless solutions is very interesting to me but I honestly have no idea what the best wireless solution would be. With a Garmin N2K hardware network along w/ Coastal...

    Fcc mmsi

Ulysses: I spoke with the previous owner and he state I should just take care of it online. He did not offer to do anything to assist. Is it possible for me, the new owner, to initiate this transfer or, is this something only the person on record can do? Thanks in advance, Pat

    Gpsmap 7215...cheap!

Wind: Wife and I just purchased an Selene 48. 2004 RM RL80's in the ph. We are updating the entire system to Garmin. Would be interested to see your install refit after pulling the RL70's. I'm still not sure how to make mine work w/o making a mess of the existing teak panel.

    Show your helm!

Current helm... Updates a commin.. ;) Had a question... Updating my older RM to new Garmin. Puzzled about what substrate/panel to use to cover the existing hole while mounting the new MFD's. Both Garmin MFD;s will fit between the outside guages so I will only have to remove the RM plotters...
