Range 4 engine? Not sure what engine it is. I run it at 1700 rpms. Had to do 1900 going up the Mississippi River before (bad planning on my part).

Heritage trawler The boat is still for sale. It is 35.5 feet long on the paperwork. Has a Perkins 6.354 diesel engine. Westerbeke generator. All it good running condition.

Pics from this weekend Don’t know why these pictures are coming out this way. Anyways it was a good trip. We used the auto pilot for the first time coming back.

A few more details The boat paperwork said it a 35 ft 6 inch boat without swim platform and anchor pulpit. It has plenty of room. It has a capt. room and the v berth. Bathroom with shower. The Perkins pushes the boat about 7 mph. I believe it burns a little under 2 gallons a hour. Very good...

Thanks for the info Will have pictures up tomorrow. The boat has a single Perkins 6354 natural, westerbeke gen. Will be taking it out again Friday and return Monday.

Leaking pump Now my pump has a small drip leak. What did y’all do about it. Looks like it is coming from the linkage that gives it fuel.

I have the same boat. The first thing I replaced was exhaust manifold and the elbow and the small 90 degree thing on the side of the manifold. Need to meet up someday. Would like to see it.

Alternator The weird thing is that is the oldest Battery in the boat. Just had to replace all other batteries. That one is just for the gen set and the date on it is 10/14. It a matter of time I’m sure. It has a switch so if I need to run it with the other batteries I can. Really like this...

Thank y’all for the response greatly appreciated. I found a Gen that was the same as mine for sale pretty close. I bought the whole thing for a alternator. But I will now have all the extra part I may need.

I noticed the alternator shaking around while it was running. I checked it and it looks like it hasn’t worked in years. I bought another but can not figure the wires out. On the back of it is a power hookup and a r and L connection. Any help would be a blessing

Gen I’m sorry there is two wires. One goes to the starter and the other is the one I am having a problem with. Think I may have found a alternator just now on line.
