FOR SALE: Used W-H Autopilot - Entire System - $350 obo

I recently pulled a fully functioning W-H Autopilot from a 1986 Tollycraft that was kept undercover in freshwater. I attempted to pull everything out intact, including cables. It was removed simply as part of a full electronics package replacement. It was highly accurate and performed well in...

Glorious boats. The wood upkeep timewise or dollar wise is a commitment especially if you are not accustomed to it. Under cover is definitely the way to go. Just my 2 cents!

    Dripless seal leak

Thanks everyone. I have what I need. Big help. Irish Rambler - I did not know there might to be two set screws in one hole. That explains why tightening did not stop collar from slipping. Also explains why set screws in other shaft are so deep in the hole. I will add a locking screw to...

    Dripless seal leak

Can anyone recommend a boat guru to take a look and give us a second opinion re/ dripless seal leak. Moored @(Elliott Bay Marina). One of my dripless seals began leaking abruptly and substantially. Luckily, I was there and we have a big auto bilge pump that easily kept pace. I think I know...

They are Cummins 330's (370 derated) installed in 2000. The previous owner has a photo album of the whole repower...the boat was really his baby. He was in tears when we signed all the paper work. Super nice guy spent lots of time with us going over systems. Every now and then we get an e-mail...

Just closed on our first boat. We ended up with a Tollycraft. Thanks to everyone who helped with advice along the way. Started the journey looking at a Symbol 41 that ended up with some issues, moved on to a Grand Banks (thanks Keith for all your help and advice) with some bigger...

    What is a reasonable offer?

Just curious. New world for us. We are going to look at a boat we are very interested in. Have done our homework and know it is priced high. We know owners are moving and wish to sell boat. Not interested in taking advantage of anyone's situation or even being perceived as such. For example if a...

    Buying Woes

They are very decent people. We know of them through the community here. It is part of the appeal of the boat frankly...they have taken very good care of it and were willing to spend several hours with us going thru the boat revealing warts and all.

    Buying Woes

Hey all. Here is the latest in our quest. After passing on one trawler with a stringer issue I stumbled upon another. We found a by owner in pristine condition....same owners for 20 years, meticulous records, clean etc etc. Owners were helpful and honest. When we were seeing boat spouse...

    Delamination stringer

Thanks all. We did find out a previous buyer walked one hour into survey and it was enough to spook us....the search continues. If someone can recommend a surveyor in the Seattle area who has experience with Taiwanese trawlers we would be very grateful.

Thanks everyone for your sound advice. Having someone take a look today but feeling like we should pass on the boat.

    Delamination stringer

He hadn't owned the boat for very long. Got the boat then had a heart attack. I think he owned it a year and a half. Previous owner (according to broker who sold boat to both people) had been pretty meticulous and owned it for 12 years. The rest of the boat according to survey (not ours)...

    Delamination stringer

Hello all. New here and boat stupid. Spouse and I are entering into the scary world of boat ownership. We have found a trawler we like and broker has been forthcoming about issues with boat (well you know..). So the boat we are looking at is a 1985 trawler, Taiwanese. We will definitely have a...
