Redesigning the Pilgrim 40 Trawler / Canal Boat

Thanks Brian, Appreciate the info and if I can ask one more question how dod you find getting aboard from the pier. The boat was build on the Benford 37 sailboat hull with reduced keel. One of the few things I would have issue with is the choice of engine. The boat really doesn't need a 100 Hp...

Redesigning the Pilgrim 40 Trawler / Canal Boat

Hello Brian, Did you get to board Nonesuch when you were at Trawlerfest? The reason for asking is we are thinking of making a trip down to see her. We are being told she's a really clean boat. Any info would be appreciated.

transporting a 14 foot high trawler from the west coast to the east coast

I think your right on target with your Willard. Bringing her back to her place of origin is the best market. The driveway thing is true of motor homes and even large boats just check the hours on boats that are a decade old. The boat we are looking to transport will be our full time home and...

transporting a 14 foot high trawler from the west coast to the east coast

Back hauls have always been a problem in the trucking business especially if you can haul only one type of commodity. I didn't realize most boat move east to west that could be a real plus for us.I thought all the money is in D.C and New York but I forgot about Hollywood. Thanks

Thanks for the supportive words and the funny thing is this is the second time we ran into problems on moving a boat we fell in love with. Healhustler I guess we have something in common in an earlier life I also was involved in moving very large things around the country. transporting a 14 foot high trawler from the west coast to the east coast

The reason for the post was to get input on shipping a boat thats 14 foot high. Anything thats 13.6 or lower on a trailer is not a big issue as long as your not too wide.I need to get her at least as far as the Mississippi.
