the boat is 120/240 60 cycle. for some reason the shore power socket in the boat has the little hook in one of the female three branches going the opposite the direction then the NA cable.

It has euro sockets but all the wiring is North american the only difference in the NA socket and the boat socket is I have is the the direction of the little hook in on of the three branches going the other way.

No this is the weird part the boat socks to receive the shore cable is exactly like the NA american NEMA style BUT that hook in one of the three branches is in the opposite direction then the norm, hence regular NA shore power cables can't be plugged into it. I do have a set of cables that came...

Thanks for all the good words. My priority is time which I don't have much of, from my research the Erie canal end to end is like 7 to 8 days. So it's looks like I'll be doing the Welland canal system (Eric to lake Ontario) then crossing the Ontario lake to the st-Laurence sea way and home.

I'm looking into a swift 42 and I found out the boat overall has low moisture throughout using a moisture meter but both splash rails have a very high moisture reading. Is this common ? is it fixable ? have other owners had this problem. thanks for any help.

I have known the 34 for years now, been on it several times. I have had my eye on her for a long time as for the 42 I have never seen a 42, but I have been on a 44 and also had the pleasure of taking her for a hour ride...fantastic.

Well there are two marinas that I like one in NY and the other in Vermont, both on Lake Champlain.. I'll just go where the state taxes are lower.
