    Installed pipe davit to manage dinghy off/on a GB36 Classic (1981) Is there a reason to leave the boom in place.? In my ignorance it just seems a nuisance? - Ford

    Call me a "sissy"... But I'd like up/down anchor controls on the foredeck and at the wheel. Also thruster controls at both upper and lower helm. Currently there is only a single "up anchor" control. So you run out to the foredeck and spin the release allowing chain to "free whee'" out...
