    Onan Gen Parts

Not sure if they'll have exhaust parts or not but on our previous boat we had a mid 80's Onan genset (3k) and our local Cummins dealer's parts guy found pretty much any part I needed. Might try that? Mark

    Nav lights/anchor light reversed?

Thank you for the reply... haven't been able to get back to the boat awhile, so pardon the lack of response... I'm struggling to reconcile your diagram with actual wiring diagram (in fact, I struggle in general when it comes to wiring and the diagram for said wiring) along side the actual...

    Nav lights/anchor light reversed?

Hi all, In preface let me say what I know about DC wiring wouldn't fill a thimble which is why I'm appealing to the esteemed group here. On to my question. When I flip the 3 position switch up towards nav only the anchor light (a mast on the helm station that only lights all around) and...

    Engine Room for Claustrophobic Captains

For ER size the vessel I've seen with the most room (actually a TF member that's in the same boat basin as me) is huge with total walk around room of both engines I'm uncertain but think it's a Californian 42?Maybe 80's vintage?

Missing Boat With 16 On Board!

A 20 - 26 cuddy with 16 people sounds ominous on it's own, let alone including a crossing...

    Bad Fuel Remedies?

Just wanted to say thank you for all the great advice... In the end we chose to follow mechanics suggestions and (slightly over) dose the tanks with stabilizer - Startron - and then fill the tanks this morning. Afternoon cruise up and down the river w/highly skilled (compared to my novice skill...

    Bad Fuel Remedies?

Our fuel is unleaded premium non-ethanol... Just changed in line fuel filter and water separator yesterday and will fill tanks tomorrow using some stabilizer just in case for the remaining old fuel.

    Bad Fuel Remedies?

Boatpoker - is fuel injected, as in not carbed... Crusader 350xli engines. But yes it is gasoline.

    Bad Fuel Remedies?

I'm not familiar with the term "rec gas" however ours is non-ethanol premium unleaded... I suspect they are near to or identically the same. I have run 2/3 of a tank thru on an extended shake down cruise... seemed fine, but now that weather's changed-or maybe crud in bottom of tank?-it's...

    Bad Fuel Remedies?

Hi all, Our new to us (gasoline) gem (she's still unnamed as yet) had fuel that was up to 3 yrs old - full tanks!! The mechanic thought it was okay to burn it until we used near all of it up-suggesting we didn't refuel until that happened. Local fuel supplier for our club fuel dock had...

    West coast vs East coast.

Hi neighbor! Not sure about the rest of it... but I'm pretty partial to the Tri-Cities for boating! Doesn't meet post authors criteria however... as nice as it is to boat at the juncture of 3 rivers!! So Beachcomber hasn't sold yet? Mark

    Friday ponder...

+1, maybe +100 - as one of those that fall into the upward range of age I find search functions in most forums rarely produce the desired results... but individuals more experienced than me almost always have pertinent opinions and advice - including what search terms might produce a better...

    Hi everyone, Ducatihottie here, (Brian)

Curious if you've ever used Thetford's "Aqua-Kem?" and how NoFlex compares? Thanks, Mark

    Dehumidifier good or bad idea?

I've been reading this thread with interest... I'd be interested in posts of specific brand/model #'s of units everyone is using... seems this time of year, at least locally, no one stocks them.

Yep, came in quite handy over the weekend during a "shake-down" cruise to a local after 3 hours from home and through a lock) park on the snake river. So the Admiral can get down to the cleat tying off while locking. New pics coming!

    Inboards

Thanks Downey... the shop that did some work on water leaks (heat exchanger was leaking, and a rudder box was what they called dbl the speck but unconcerning) has the boat back now as over the weekend bilge pump kicked in every few hours (okay, maybe a bit of an exageration, but several times...

    Inboards

Hi, new to inboards having come from an I/O express cruiser. My question deals with a vessel taking on water- I understand both shaft seals and rudder boxes will drip water into the bilge. Is that exclusively while underway, or will running in neutral also drip? What about just sitting tied...

A little background - boat went to a mechanics for inspections 6 weeks (all I can say is they had some issues this year) and during that time we were inundated with ash from fires as far south as California plus a few Oregon fires and even a couple of them here in Washington only a couple hours...

    Newbie

Hi, New to the group in August - Joined here as I was looking for an upgrade to the express cruiser style of boat... and we did!! Last Tuesday (9-29) we finalized purchase of a '95 Carver Santego 310 - still unnamed as of yet! Hopefully that doesn't get me the boot from here even tho' it's...
