    Prop line cutters

Line Cutters I have tried several disc style cutters and they didn't work.. One time the pot warp got wound around my shaft so tight the engine stalled (running at idle) and my starboard rear motor mount cracked on my Mainship Pilot 20 II. I have since installed Spurs and they have done the job...

    Replies Regarding These Shaft Cutters

Shat Cutter I installed one of these on my Mainship Pilot 30 II and did not have good luck with it. The first trap line I picked up wound so tight around my shaft it stalled the engine and broke one of the rear cast aluminum motor mounts. I went to a spur style cutter and so far it has cut two...

MS 30 Pilot II - Nu owner - DIY Little things

Mainship Pilot 30 II upgrades I purchased my 2001 Mainship (292 hours on engine) in August 3 years ago. The first thing I did was make a new rudder that was airfoil shaped with a 5:1 leading edge ratio and 1-1/2 times the surface area of the original spade rudder . I had very limited steerage...

    Raymarine Update ???

I currently have an antique (2002) RL80CRC PLUS Multifunction Display with a connected ST6001 Autopilot, Radar, and VHF Radio. Autopilot (which I love), Radar, and VHF are working fine. The resolution and detail on the screen on the display leave a lot to be desired, particularly when viewing...

    Yanmar 6LPA-STP wiring diagram

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the Mainship Pilot 30-II for the engine "OFF, ON, START" switch circuit? The switch works however there is an "ENGINE STOP" switch on the panel that either isn't connected or doesn't work. The 3 wiring diagrams in the Yanmar operation manual (7.2.1, 7.2.2...

Mainship Pilot 30 II condensation issue

I am getting an extreme amount of condensation under the fold-out mattress compartment where the AC unit, Hot Water tank, and Bow Thruster is located, due to the inside hull exposure to the cold sea water. It's causing mildew to develop on the mattress. Has anyone had a similar problem and been...

Simrad Sonar with Forward Scan transducer

Thank you for your detailed response. I think I read also that they recommend putting a (water base only) bottom paint on the transducer. Did you do that? Just wondering if that affects the performance.

Simrad Sonar with Forward Scan transducer

The transducer is plastic. The thru hull fitting is S/S. If I end up buying this I will connect the thru hull to my common bond system

Thanks Bruce for posting this information. I was just getting ready to do so myself!

Simrad Sonar with Forward Scan transducer

The NAVICO transducer is designed so that it can be removed from the boat in the water. The only criteria is that it be placed somewhere that is easily accessible.

Simrad Sonar with Forward Scan transducer

I am considering buying the Simrad NSS9 Evo2 display with a NAVICO Forward Scan transducer. Has anyone had any experience with this unit? The only question I have is why do they recommend taking the transducer out if it is going to be in the salt water for more than a week?

    Refrigerator problem Pilot 30 II

Al: Did you ever solve your refrigerator problem? I have the same one in my Pilot 30-II and just replaced the control module. Most of them are expensive but I found one on e-bay that was new for $75.00. I think there are more available. I had to buy a new connector as well.(have extra if you...
