    Ok thanks, this one has 3 terminals on the motor so I think it is both up and down electrically, the brake is controlled by the knurled disc on top. I would like to use it if it is suitable for my size of boat Does it look like a VC 1000?

    Window replacement with UPVC

    I wasn't concerned so much with the efficiency of the windows but more with maintenance. My windows are the sliding type with felt seals, they don't last 5 minutes in the Florida sun and it's a lot of work removing the teak frames each time they need replacing.

    Simms pump

    I think my 1980 Lehman had a 5/16 UNF which had been stripped and I had to open it out to 3/8 UNF. I will try and double check tonight
