Try it. I towed a 19 Grady White while between RIB’s for a year or so. Get floating braided line and using a cleat always worked for me on a Mainship 390. If you want to go faster, put someone in the towed vessel. Same for inside a marina.
Zodiac Yachtline 340 Dinghy
Now that we have sold our Mainship 390 the time has come to sell our Zodiac.
The Zodiac is an 1998 11 foot Hypalon RIB that was retubed at Legendary Marine in Destin in 2016 with a 6 month wait for shipment from France. It has been under covered storage with a boat...
This is a simple process. I did mine at purchase by following the instructions. I had an error and CG contacted me, I revised and documentation was transferred. I also files a late renewal, paid a few dollars and had it back within 2 weeks.
We towed a 19 Grady behind our Mainship 390 while replacing our dinghy. There was no noticeable effect and it was nice to have it once we reached our destination.

Towing
I tow a 19 footbGrady behind my Mainship 390 with no noticeable difference than our 11 food Zodiac. I had Weaver davits for a while but found towing was equally effective in my case. Ymmv.
Towing
I rregularly tow a 19 Grady behind my Mainship. I would suggest be prepared to snugly side tie the CC. Locks are not an issue if you are prepared. Having the CC also can be a safety feature in the case of a power loss.
