"Intercoastal" Waterway

Not speaking for the original poster but he did put "Intercoastal" in quotes, I suspect because he was driving down the Interstate highway system. *I don't know him but suspect he knows the difference.

just a quick comment on this...the buttons are all there, if you roll your cursor over where they "should be" you might see some text pop up one has the word "next" in it and that works. just annoyiing not having the buttons to see. Grant

Do you have a blog for your boat/travels?

I don't have a blog, as I don't have a boat yet, but I found this website to be helpful in finding other blogs about trawlers and cruising... www.trawlerblogs.com

    Not Really a Complaint

But the Ads that had been appearing at the top and bottom of my screen when viewing TF, which were basically Google fed links, are gone.* They have been replaced by "The Web Page cannot be found". I'm sure not what Google or whomever wanted....

Do you have a blog for your boat/travels?

AS I don't have a boat (yet)* I don't have a Blog for her and her travels.* I do however keep up with WAY too much info on trawler blogs.* There are many different ones out there from the rich and famous - Ken & Roberta Williams (creators/founders of the Sierra-Online Software company) who are...

    Wanted: Trawler Wanted

Just adding my 2 cents. Would the Egg be an easier sale later? as the economy (cough, cough) picks up? Then you might want to make the trade "suffer" through this season with it and keep your eye out for the Trawler you want to buy.

    New Jersey based Trawlers

(admins:please feel free to relocate if not appropriate here) I am as some would call, a dreamer.* My dream is to take my family and cruise the East Coast for a long while and beyond.* I am a dreamer because I currently don't have a boat nor much experience recently (last 15 yrs).* Prior to...

Let me help you sell your boat!!!

Thank-you all for injecting some smiles and laughs into this otherwise grey day in NJ with this onpoint, hijacked, redirected, rehijacked, morphed thread. That is what I love about this forum. To further Hi-jack, may all of you have a great Christmas Holiday (if you are so inclined) and an...

    Trawlerfest in Balt

I was there Sunday as well. Having been to the larger sailboat shows in Annapolis, Atlantic City and Norwalk over the years, I found Trawler Fest refreshingly small from the boat side. I think all but 4 or 5 Boats were on the plus side of 40 and most closer to 50 and up. From my perspective...

    Another New Guy

Thanks Steve for the recommendation.* Are there any other recommendations on books or blogs? * I expect this to be at least a year or two process probably more. As an engineer I tend towards analysis paralysis but I'll try to be more proactive and have concrete steps in the process like...

    Another New Guy

Well, I've always been inclined to the Grand Banks style of trawler/cruiser as evidenced by my HS art projects being sketches of a 1979 GB42.* Lately I've been thinking of the kadey-krogen and nordhavns as the pinnacle to aspire to but not for several years if not a decade.* I don't want to...

    Another New Guy

Greetings everyone.* Another new guy here - not a boat owner yet but a well established member of the OPB club.* Boating goes back to my very beginnings as my family took me on their little 24' cuddy sailboat on Lake Geneva as a 1 yr old and then again in Sydney Harbor* on another small...

    Basic Trawler questions

I'm a new member here as well, bitten by the trawler bug landlocked in NJ!* To answer what those two tems are: first it is a Doghouse Hatch as Pineapple Girl said, a very traditional design element that was used in "olden days" to keep the waves from crashing through flat hatch covers and to...
