Replace table base in Mainship 30 Pilot II cabin

I have a 2003 Mainship 30 Pilot II and would like some feedback about replacing the table socket base in the cabin from a raised socket base to an recessed base. The base in the upper cockpit is recessed. The reason is because we almost always have the table upstairs in the cockpit and the...

Zinc oxide verses bottom paint on bronze rudder

I see you made a choice to go with bottom paint and that will work well. I have been using the cold galvanizing spray on my running gear including prop for the past few years and found it to be very effective if you give the running gear a minimum of 3 heavy coats. For my Mainship Pilot 30...

    Do windlass motors wear out?

It could be that you need to tighten the clutch. Mine has a tool (similar to a winch handle) that can be used to adjust the clutch.

Still having troubles getting into my slip

One important aspect of using a bow thruster is to know your boats pivot point. I would test this outside of your fairway. When you apply thruster on the bow keep in mind it is not only swinging your bow but your stern in the opposite direction. When you determine the pivot point of your...

Big Marina Rewire & the new code

From the quoted article, TOPIC: Galvanic isolators... “Many boats are still fit with second generation Galvanic Isolators manufactured between approximately 2002 through approximately 2008. One such unit is the Professional Mariner (ProMariner) Prosafe 1” I wish the electrician who worked on...

LED indicator lights on breaker panel.

I've had to replace several on my Mainship panel. I have purchased several spares from Pacer Group. These seem to be an exact match to the originals. https://www.pacergroup.net/indicator-light-e3l-series-compact-snap-in-light-with-black-bezel/

    Burgee flags

I had thought that it might be from a Yacht Club but I didn’t follow up and soon forgot about it. Today, after some research I found the club the burgee belongs to (see the link below). Thanks for the notice. My next step will be to design my own and have someone reproduce it. Any other...

    Burgee flags

The burgee flag that came with my previously owned Mainship Pilot is faded so I would like to replace it. I like the design but might think about a new design idea. It appears to be a good quality nylon stitched flag and I would like to have the new one match the quality. Has anyone found a...

Replacing the impeller on a Yanmar 6LPA-STP

I’m planning to change the impeller on the Yanmar 6LPA-STP in my 2003 Mainship II Pilot. Before I begin to remove the cover plate and take apart the housing I was hoping someone here on the forum that is familiar with this can help me. I am able to squeeze through the small hatch in the cabin...

    Raymarine Navigation Acronym

In response to my question about the meaning of the acronym BOTW (which, by the way means "Bearing: Origin To Waypoint"), the Raymarine Forum Moderator posted the entire acronyms and abbreviations list used within Raymarine products. Here is the link... Acronyms and abbreviations used within...

    Raymarine Navigation Acronym

The Data Items listed in the Navigation Select Data screen include BTW and BOTW. I'm wondering if it is something along the lines of CTS (Course To Steer). Bearing Offset To Waypoint is the best guess I can come up with. I posted the question on Raymarine Forum and am waiting for a reply.

    Raymarine Navigation Acronym

Johnrupp, yes the Raymarine Forum was indispensable when I installed my electronics. Apparently BOTW must not be a common navigation term if the crew here at Trawler Forum hasn't heard it. Maybe it's their own proprietary acronym. Raymarine Forum is my next stop.

    Raymarine Navigation Acronym

On my Raymarine Axiom there is an acronym in the menu for adding navigation data to app screens (like the chart, radar and data screens) called BOTW. Anyone know what it stands for? It's the only one I can't figure out and Raymarine has no glossary of acronym terms that I could find. I even...
