    Headsets

The simple route We went the simple route when looking at marriage saver headsets. It dawned on us we both have cell phones with headsets/earbuds/etc. So the simple solution was for us to just use what we already have. I just give my wife a call when we're coming into the dock and we just use...

    No-GPS Chart Plotter

Charts for navigation In all honesty, we never leave port without our paper chartbook as a backup. I'm as lazy as the next guy when it comes to relying on my electronical gadgetry to get me where I want to go, but I always make sure my paper charts are on board, my compass is in good working...

I've already checked it out and there are some wonderful ideas and good info there. Thanks so much for putting it out there. We have much to learn but are already in love with the...

    Hello from Lake Erie

We are at Anchor Pointe marina about 15 miles east of Toledo on Cooley Canal. Nice marina on the lake and just a couple hours from the islands. I used to say it was only an hour from the islands but that was when we had a fast boat. :)

Only have been on it one weekend so far. We're boating veterans but new to trawlers. We'll be out on Lake Erie and the Great Lakes in...
