To those of you with a davit and dink on the aft of your Mainship --- what happens to your speed? Can you still get her up on plane? Can. you still get to 16+ mph with the dink up on the davit? I see many Mainships with NO dink and wonder why....Have 440's...

Always have anchor and line - as well as CHAIN and PADLOCK - depending upon where we are. (Had dink stolen out from under us in Spanish Virgins - chain cut!). Always have hand held VHF and FLARES and plenty of fuel. Flares are required in dinks in Key West, FL (but not rest of FL)...

Just located & joined this site. My husband and I have been searching for a 43 or larger Mainship, without much luck so far. Interested in the 479 we just learned about, but can't find a word about it on the Forum....or much else on these. Appears the 43's for sale are all 2 cabin/1 head...
