Look at "rope puller" instead of a come along. They're pretty strong pulling, but they pull a rope and that's safer for the surface of your boat. It'll pull the length of the rope you have it equipped with. Run it from the aft cleat, forward and hook the chain, and start cranking.

Update Made it down to the boat today. I forgot the new strainers. House is currently 1”, the current strainers are 3/4”. Doh. I’m thinking I’ll do this next haul out since it’s a nice to do.

Thanks everyone for the replies. We made a deal on the boat! The water tank is apparently aluminum and it’s hard to get to, so we will have a 75 gallon water tank. Closing on the 15th then we have to sail her 6 days home.
