    Small, classic displacement hull trawlers

Thanks everyone Head on the Albin 25 is too small to incorporate even a wet shower… Others are too big or too expensive or too hard on fuel Big nod to the Prairie 29!! Nice couples boat. Some serious lounge area for that length Inexpensive enough that a reasonable one could be repowered with a...

    Small, classic displacement hull trawlers

I’ve had trawlers in the PNW but always sailboats in Florida to Bahamas. Thinking of switching to the dark side down south as well What other small, full displacement, low hp boats are there besides the Willard 30 Vega series and the Maple Bay 27? Looking for seaworthy and low hp efficiency

2005 Msinship trawler, single 370… issues?

Thanks! Appreciate the reply and info on fuel burn and your opinion on the 370. I expected less fuel burn at 7 knots.. That not terrible, but my former Nordic Tug 32 was about 1.5 to 2 at 7 Glad you liked the boat. I can see why… Now… As to no problem crawling around engine room, but no...

2005 Msinship trawler, single 370… issues?

Hi all I’m considering a 2006 34 trawler. Love the high bulwarks, huge bridge deck and great “couples boat” interior. Engine room access is tight for an arthritic guy like myself… How are the 370s? I’m a sailor and would run 6-7 knots most often. Fuel burn at that speed? (Other single 370 owners...

    Charley Morgan, 1929-2023

He had an eye… If you search his earlier Morgan 41 (not the out island) it was simply stunning! Looked like a Hinkley Bermuda 40.. Classic overhangs and sweet sheer. His early 34 was much the same. He also had an intuitive sense of where the industry was going, hense the later cruising designs...

    Cummins 5.9 water pump access

This may have already been covered somewhere, if so, I couldn’t find. Wondering if a solution been found to repair or replace the water pump without removing the port side engine mount? Thanks

Travels of "Emma B" (JD powered Helmsman)

The Cory 22 is awesome at what it does. I owned one’d several years ago and took her across the Gulf Stream to Bahamas. Quite a handful docking in a wind with the flat bottom. “Coming in hot”;took on a whole new meaning :) Enjoy your Camano... a very fine boat! And yes... I’ll take good care...

    New 38 spec’d and ordered

FlyWright... what you use is very much like how I’ve been plotting... on my iPad mini. I’m asking about a plotter because I’ll be purchasing one for this new boat anyway, so I might as well get a touch screen model...

    New 38 spec’d and ordered

I’m either missing some, or not explaining properly. I don’t think you can put touch screen navionics on a non touch screen plotter. My question is about what plotter... I use iSailor and navionics on my iPad It’s to get a good, easy to use, reasonably priced, touch screen plotter I’m wondering...

    New 38 spec’d and ordered

Agreed My last was a similar Garmin... very tedius to plot. I’d use my “touch screen” iPad to plot.. That’s why I was wondering if any other ole non techie is really happy with their new touch screen by ?? model ??

Thinking electronics.... I have extremely basic needs but would like to hear from you if you have an extremely easy to use.... meaning intuitive for technophobe mid 60s lad. I use iSailor on my iPad and love it. Would like a plotter that: 1-is as simple to use 2-is an excellent value I don’t...
